Pearl powder has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine for a variety of reasons including use as an anti-inflammatory, disintoxification agent, and dermatology issues. For this reason Aloha Pearls has made pearl powder as a main ingredient in all its bath and body formulas. Pearl powder is made of crushed freshwater pearls. The crushed pearl powder is rich in amino acids containing anywhere from 20-22 of them! Amino acids happen to be the "building blocks" of every living organism.
